So my English 112 final paper was a 55 word short story about love and/or death. The assignment was based on one of the books we read in class,  The World's Shortest Stories of Love and Death., a compilation of 55 word or less stories.  For extra credit we can actually send our stories to the competition and so I was inspired to make mine worthy of submission.

The following is my story. While brainstorming I decided that I didn't want to kill my characters, but I wanted the  story to be about love AND death. I decided upon a Twilight inspired story about a Vampire and a human.



                                 Forever Yours

"Will it hurt?"

"Only a little," His nose brushed her vulnerable neck.

"You're freezing." She shivered.

"A minor setback."

"I can't live without you." Running fingers across his ivory skin.

"Well, technically you won't be--"

"Hush." Her fingers to his mouth.

"Are you sure you want to do this?"

"My heart is yours," She gushed.
